Details

Each dome is assembled by three or four friends with average technical know how in six to eight hours. Components are easily transported to remote locations by 4wheeler and trailer, and given their placement on platforms without roofs, domes may not require building permits for many applications in many jurisdictions. In addition to standard white, domes are available in custom colours. Straight windows (as seen in the interior pictures, below) are standard. Seamless windows (as seen to the left) are optional. The recommended platform size is 24 x 24 feet.

Summary of U-Domes™ Specs

1. Size: 20 ft. (6.1m) Diameter, 12 ft. (3.5m) Height, 2.36 inch (60mm) Wall Thickness, Ceilings are thicker to achieve R33 rating;
2. Total Floor Area: 323 sq.ft. (30 Square Meter); units may be doubled, tripled or quadrupled up to increase square footage;
3. Standard Configuration: one door, one alcove window; white in colour;
4. Optional Configuration: two, three or four doors for units to attach, and up to three alcove or seamless windows;
5. Optional finishes include colours, custom patterns and even corporate logos, etc.;
6. Material: FRP panels combined with PU; insulation via "sandwich structure";
7. Wiring tubes installed;
8. Wind speed resistance: up to 150 mph (240 kph);
9. Snow load: up to 260 pound per square foot (40 inches = 100 cm);
10. Stock orders: four U-Domes™ fill one container, which minimizes shipping cost;
11. Destination Charge $3,000 per unit;
12. Special order terms: a $2,000 Destination Surcharge applies for units shipped in quantities NOT divisible by four.
